SECA Diwali Project

As part of my work with the Strabane Ethnic Community Association (SECA), I contributed to the 8 week Diwali Cultural Outreach Programme. An initiative designed to celebrate the South Asian festival of lights and promote intercultural understanding in Northern Ireland. My role involved the planning and delivery of community events, interactive workshops, and storytelling sessions in various primary schools, & further education colleges that highlighted the cultural significance of Diwali. The programme aimed to foster dialogue between communities, create space for shared learning, and uplift South Asian voices in a region where such representation remains limited. It was a deeply meaningful project that allowed me to connect my professional skills with my heritage and passion for inclusive cultural work.
